Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy caters to the emotional, mental, and psychological well-being of a single person. During these sessions, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and explore tools and strategies to cope with life’s challenges effectively. We will work together to gain insight, resolve issues, set goals and creat a plan to achieve them. Individual Therapy is often helpful to those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, or who simply wish to improve their overall mental health and well-being.

Couples Therapy

I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Gottman Therapy services are a type of couples therapy designed to help couples improve their relationship and communication skills. It is based on the research of Dr. John Gottman. It focuses on improving the couple’s friendship, managing conflict, and creating shared meaning. It involve a combination of one-on-one and group sessions, as well as homework assignments to practice the skills learned in therapy.

ADHD Assessments

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD Assessments involve a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s symptoms, behaviors, and cognitive abilities, including attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

The assessment process may include interviews with the individulal and their family members, behavioral observations, and standaradized tests (Brown EF/A Scales). The results of the assessment can help determine whether an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD and inform treatment planning.

FAQ

SDo I accept insurance?

Yes. I accept most plans from United Healthcare, Aetna and Cigna. However, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company to confirm that I accept your specific plan.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face and get to know each other. I will complete an intake assessment that reviews your personal history, present day concerns, and what you might be hoping for in therapy. Together, we will address any concerns or questions you have regarding therapy. If we decide this is the right fit, therapy will begin during the following session. If, for any reason, you and I don’t believe that working together is the best fit for you, I will provide you with specific referrals based on the assessment we completed.

How often are sessions and for how long?

Studies show that therapy is most powerful when it is conducted weekly. Occasionally, it may be appropriate to meet more or less often, depending on your needs.

Depending on your needs and goals, we can determine together how long would be most helpful and beneficial to you.

How long is an appointment?

Intake appointments are generally 45-60 minutes long. Following that a standard individual/couple session is 45 minutes long.

Do you offer tele-health session?

Yes! However, sometimes in person is needed to make progress. This is something that we can explore together.

Can I follow you on social media?

You’re welcome to follow my professional social media pages. I don’t follow, friend, comment, respond or make other similar connections on social media with clients, or their family members or friends. This is to protect your confidentiality and privacy. If you chose to follow me on social media, it’s at your own risk. Please note, this is not a way to contact me for any reason, especially in an emergency.
