INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Do you feel overwhelmed or close to burning out? Do you find yourself doing everything for everyone else and not getting the same back? Do you feel like a stranger to yourself, or that you are not good enough? I help women learn how to set and keep boundaries, increase your self esteem, and challange your negative and/or anxious thoughts. I have a lot of experience and trainings in various therapy approaches and will pull from each on to meet your specific needs.

I specialize in working with women (13+), experiencing anxiety, burn out, self doubt, trauma, and ADHD. I will help you find tools to help you with your anxiety, build self-trust and make healthy boundaries. Therapy with me will be like talking to a friend who can be objective and is trained to help with the difficult stuff.

Couples Counseling

I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Gottman Therapy is designed to help couples improve your relationship and communication skills. We focus on improving your friendship, learn to manage conflict, and creating shared meaning. It involve a combination of one-on-one and group sessions, as well as homework assignments to practice the skills learned in therapy. 

Session 1: The Couple will come in and we will do an oral history. This is where we explore your past relationship, marraige, children, etc. We will also discuss what is bringing you into Copules Counseling. After this session, the Gottman Assesment is sent to the couple to complete prior to their next session.

Sessions 2 & 3: These are individual sessions. These sessions are to bulid rapport individually as well as review each individual’s assessment.

Session 4+: From this session on, they will be couples sessions. We will discuss the results of the Gottman Assessment and explore the strengths and challenges reported in the assessment. The couple will also participate in a 10 minute “disagreement” with each other. This is so the therapist can “see” how you fight.
